Saint John's Health Center designated Center of Excellence

Saint John's Health Center and Cheetah Medical, Inc., announced that Saint John's has been designated a Center of Excellence for the new state-of-the-art Reliant® Hemodynamic Monitoring System.  Six Reliant monitors, purchased in December 2008, monitor how much blood the heart pumps with each heartbeat. Clinical studies have demonstrated that having this information available and using it with other inputs to guide treatment can help prevent or decrease the incidence and risk of complications from a number of leading health conditions through improved patient management.

Saint John's Health Center receives bronze award for heart care

Saint John's Health Center received bronze award recognition for its achievements in the area of heart failure in the "Get with the Guidelines" quality improvement program of the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association.  The award was acknowledged in an advertisement appearing in the July 21-28, 2008 "America's Best Hospitals" edition of U.S. News & World Report.
