Saint John’s Trustees work tirelessly with the Foundation staff to vision, plan, initiate and maintain structured programs of support for the Heath Center’s capital, equipment and programmatic needs, and to carry forward the mission of compassionate care set forth by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth.
Irene Dunne Guild
The Irene Dunne Guild is instrumental in raising funds to support programs and services at Saint John’s. The Guild sponsors events and volunteer projects such as the Caritas Gala, Think Pink, Patron Drive, and Angels of the ER.
- Caritas Gala ~ The Irene Dunne Guild, in partnership with the trustees of the Saint John's Health Center Foundation hosts the annual Caritas Gala, which raises funds in support of programs and services at Saint John's. The awards of the evening include the Caritas Award bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant contribution to their community, and the Spirit of Saint John's Award that honors an individual whose service to the Health Center is an example to all of the best in philanthropy and volunteerism. - Patron Drive ~ The Irene Dunne Guild collaborates with the Health Center administration to identify special projects that are funded through the Guild's Annual Patron Drive. Recent projects include the purchase of new vital signs equipment, establishment of the Irene Dunne Gift Shop in the new Saint John’s, ongoing support of Saint John’s Child and Family Development Center and sponsorship of a variety of childbirth education classes. - Think Pink ~ The Irene Dunne Guild hosts a women’s health educational event and a luncheon that brings together mothers, daughters, grandmothers and friends to learn more about issues concerning women of today. For more information contact Rosa Hernandez at (310) 829-8441..
- Angels of the ER ~ The Irene Dunne Guild founded the Angels of the ER Program in 2001. This team of highly trained volunteers assists patients and families receiving emergency care at Saint John's.
