patientcarefinalAlso located on the first floor of the Keck building is the Thomas and Dorothy Leavy Diagnostic Center. Using advanced laboratory and diagnostic equipment, the department provides the highest quality of diagnostic services and offers the most sophisticated methods for evaluating a full range of patient specimens, including blood and other fluids, tissue biopsies, surgical resections, Pap smears and other cytology samples.  This, too, is designed for patient convenience and faster medical attention.

Diagnostics includes:

  • Phlebotomy – where patients have blood drawn for laboratory testing
  • Blood Donor Room – where patients, family members and others can donate blood
  • Outpatient Respiratory Therapy – where pulmonary testing is performed
  • Clinical Decision Unit – where patients are evaluated for inpatient admission
  • The New Saint John’s is designed to provide the fastest, most efficient way to deliver clinically advanced life-saving medical care to patients. From the state-of-the art, earthquake-absorbing base isolators upon which the hospital is built to the peak of its light-filled, four-story atrium, the New Saint John’s creates an inspired environment where clinical and compassionate expertise meet every day.
